These terms govern your use of the PetSignal app and website. By using PetSignal, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What PetSignal is
PetSignal is a free community tool that helps people report and find lost pets. It is a way for neighbours to share information. We do not search for pets ourselves, and we cannot guarantee that any pet will be found or returned.
2. Your account
You sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You must be old enough to form a binding agreement in your country to use PetSignal.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos and information you post. By posting, you give us permission to display that content within the service so the community can help. You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to share it.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent reports.
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users.
- Use another person's contact details without permission, or misuse the contact information of others.
- Post content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes someone else's rights.
- Attempt to disrupt, scrape, or interfere with the service.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
5. Safety
Use common sense when meeting people or approaching an animal you do not know. Do not chase a frightened pet. Meet in public places when returning a pet, and involve local authorities or a vet where appropriate. You act at your own risk.
6. Service "as is"
PetSignal is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any report will lead to a pet being found.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, PetSignal and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including any interaction with another user. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8. Changes and termination
We may update these terms or change the service over time. We may suspend or end access to anyone who breaks these terms. You can stop using PetSignal and delete your account at any time.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
